Roy’s Frosted Glass did very well in the market. His Pentacles and Winter Poems, did so well that Amazon Audible converted them into Audio books by the Australian young jazz singer, Colin Newcomer. Abyss was on the bestseller list at the Oxford Bookstore at the Kolkata Book Fair in 2014.

Random Subterranean Mosaic: 2012-2018 is a kaleidoscope of random, yet mysteriously structured to a pattern, fiction, semi-autobiographical, and autobiographical pieces, covering poems, short-shorts, opinions, observations, and conversations.

Roy says: “All my life I have struggled to achieve an optimal lucidity in language and expression that is required to demystify the hidden self and selves and agendas. I hope I have achieved this in a large measure in this fifth book of mine!”

Book Reviews

RANDOM SUBTERRANEAN MOSAIC consists of 93 mini tales which are various genres like from political, Social to personal. Stories are flooding as with years from 2012-2018. I really loved how beautifully they have described all the stories and best part was that I was able to relate with some of them too.

My favourite were chapter Slowness and Wishlist since they really made me think of my dear ones and made me say wow! Authors opinions and story writing has always been my favourite , and this time too I have loved the writing once again.

I'll highly recommend you all read this one as you'll definitely get somewhat related with every story and would also giggle at some times. The writing skill is really rich and the best part is that you can read this in one go. Must read.

Ayush Gupta Loved this

After reading this book I don’t think that this book has any particular gener also I don’t even know that this book is Fiction or Non-fiction. All I can say that this book is a magnificent experience for me.

It contains Poems, Short stories, Observation about day to day life by author, Author’s life synopsis, Different places descriptions who nowhere connected to the story, Lyrics of poems, Author’s personal opinion, Personal letters, Quotations, and authors personal political views, Author also described their experience of travelling and about the cities where he travelled. Author randomly put everything in this book. But together the blend of everything make it a perfect package.

Author shared his own experiences in this book from childhood and it will be so relatable for me I loved them.

This book surely justifies it title because it really a “Random Mosaic” randomly many things in this book comes one by one. Anyone who wants to read this book and thinking about a structured plot, this book is not that type. Because Each chapter contains their own characteristics and that uniqueness makes this book even more interesting for readers.

Sometimes this book feels like a semi autobiography of author because it filled with so much author’s personal life experiences.

Shivanshu Dubey Magnificent read

This book is like a little diary which has been written from different stages of life, coming from the author's personal experiences from the year 2012 to 2018.
I am unrestrained in my admiration for this book. The raw hard truth of one's personal thoughts, convictions and opinions and on top of that, all the quotes and books he recommends throughout was great.

The book consists of all types of creative nonfiction from immersion reportage to personal essay to the author's individual thoughts on different topics, short stories and frameworks of thinking about life. It gives the reader a sense of inspiration to keep a diary which could help us to clarify the goals, to focus our inner energies, free inhibitions and release the imagination.

I have dipped back into this book again and again before going to bed. Also the fact that it's an ebook makes it even easier an ideal bed book during this lockdown.

Srishti An absolutely wonderful read
